A Recent Custom Order

I wanted to share a recent custom order that I had right before Christmas.  A family friend, Celene, contacted me and asked if I could do outfits for her granddaughters and something matching for their American Girl dolls.  I had not made doll clothes before, but am always up for a challenge.  After discussing it, she decided to go with appliqued shirts with their first initial along with ruffle pants for the girls, and matching ruffle pants for the dolls.

Here are some pictures.....

I LOVE how they were turned out and was elated when Celene emailed me multiple times to tell me how happy she was with them!

I loved them so much, I added them to my Etsy Shop!  Soon I will be adding more.

This is a OOAK (one of a kind) Christmas outfit that I made last night, well, not all last night.... I had to finish it up this morning.  It is a size 3T.  Remember, this is the only one like it, so if you're interested, let me know.  I'm selling it for $40.  The outfit includes an adorable pair of ruffle pants made in a green denim and a turtleneck with an appliqued christmas tree

I'll be listing it on my Etsy shop, but you get to see it first!

Also, my friend Naz is hosting a great giveaway on her blog
I'm not going to tell you what it is... you'll have to see for yourself, but it's AWESOME!

Matilda Jane Knock-Off

How's this for a Matilda Jane knock-off?
Several months ago, a friend asked me to make an apron dress for her daughter.  I had been admiring these dresses as well, so I thought I would give it a try.  I love how old-fashioned it looks.  In the picture above, I have paired the apron dress with matching ruffle pants.

I'll be listing these in my Etsy shop soon.
If you are interested in purchasing one, I'm selling them for $40 each.

This one will fit a girl size 8-10, and is ready to find a home.  These are made so that it can be worn for more than one year,
and definitely more than one season.

Imagine putting a long-sleeve brown tee under this for fall!  So cute!

No two of these will be identical!

Peasant Blouse

I saw this great tutorial at here for the cutest little peasant blouse.  If you love to sew without patterns as much as I do, then you have to head over there!  When I saw this, I just had to try it!

Below is a picture of the one that I made.  I'll be making some matching ruffle pants to go with it soon.

Be sure to stop over at Indietutes blog for great tutorials and ideas for repurposing all those clothes that kids outgrow so quickly!   If you like what you see, she has an online "tip" jar.   Be sure and give her a little something to tell her how much you appreciate her ideas.

If you love this but don't love to sew... good news!!!  Vegbee has allowed me to sell these in my etsy shop very soon.  10% of my proceeds will go back to her just to say thanks.
