Trick or Treat Time!

Recently, I participated in a Trick or Treat Swap hosted by A Work in Progress. I had so much fun with this swap! Here are the treats that I received....

Treat: This banner looks awesome on my mantle! I wish you could see it in person!

Treat: This is another decorative banner. Each "flag" is made out of fabric with letters cut out of a different pattern and sewn on. It reads "SPOOK!"

Trick: Cyclops Stress Reliever. My daughter loves this!

The following are the items that I sent out....

Treat: Tissue holder for your purse made out of orange toile accented with black ric rac. A great thing to have when your little monster has a runny nose!

Treat: Orange Toile Apron, for cooking those ghoulish delights!

Trick: A bag of Beads! Be creative and make something frightful!

Thanks for hosting Christine!

Craft Swaps!!!!

Since doing The Speckled Egg's Summer Hair Accessory swap , I've been wanting to find another swap to join. While searching, I found three that I was interested in and joined them all!

Here are the swaps that I am participating in....
Trick R Treat
Prep for Fall
I Heart Pink and Aqua

If you're interested in participating, let them know. Instructions are on each link. I'll post pictures once each swap is completed. Speaking of posting pictures... I can't wait to show you what I got from the hair accessory swap. I'll do that later this week!

Nursing Cover

Two weeks ago, my best friend had her third baby.... finally a girl! Caroline Margaret is finally here and healthy! Stephanie asked me if I could make a nursing cover for her and I said "sure"! I had not made one before, but had seen many variations. I decided to make one with boning to make the opening at the top stick out so that she could easily see what was going on, but no one else could. I think it turned out well. But most importantly, Stephanie loved it!

Hair Accessory Swap

A friend told me about a Hair Accessory Swap hosted by I thought it sounded fun, so I decided to join. Here is how it works.... Each participant makes 6 hair accessories and sends them to The Speckled Egg to be swapped, then waits to receive 6 accessories made by others. We were asked to "think vintage" when making our items. Jessica and I went to the Flea Market at the Fairgrounds and found lots of vintage items to use for our's.
From far left: headband wrapped in black ribbon with a vintage broach accented in cashmere, 3 vintage buttons with a rinestone in the center attached to a barrette, vintage blue doll plate accented with three vintage black buttons, two hairpins with vintage jewelry attached, barrette with vintage milk cap and button.

This was so much fun! I can't wait to see what I receive! Be sure to chec out The Speckled Egg!

Tea Party

Our church has a very active Ladies Ministry called L.I.N.K.S. Each year we have a Tea Party where ladies of all ages are invited. This year there will be prizes for catergories such as "Best Hat", etc. The prizes are baskets filled with handmade items from various church members. I was asked to make two items to contribute to these baskets. Here is what I came up with....

Every Tennessean needs an orange toile apron! Maybe a UT fan will win this!

Back detail. Oops! I guess I should iron it before I turn it in!

There are a few ladies at church who regularly give me left over fabric from some of their sewing projects. One of those women gave me this beautiful yellow sateen drapery fabric with monkeys. I have been wanting to use this fabric for something and believe I found the perfect use for it. Cloth napkins! Who doesn't love to use cloth napkins?
I hope these find a good home!

4th of July

I made Elizabeth a dress and matching bloomers to wear on 4th of July because I couldn't find one in stores that I liked enough. That's the great thing about knowing how to sew... if you don't see something you like... make it! I haven't sewn in the buttons on the back of the dress yet, but here it is so far. I made it large enough in hopes that she can wear it next year by insetting the buttons this year.

Zebra Outfit

My friend Kenya is in hairschool and is participating in a hairshow next week. She has to transform her daughter into a zebra and asked me to make an outfit. I wanted to make something that Mya could wear later and not just for the hairshow. This is what I came up with. It is an A-line dress accented with a ribbon trim at the bottom to break up all the zebra print. The pants are cropped with a ruffle at the ankle. The pants can also be paired with a t-shirt for a different look. Likewise, the dress can be worn on it's own, too. I hope she likes it! I can't wait to see pictures!

Toddler Bag

This bag is smaller than the large diaper bag that I previously posted. It is just big enough for a change of clothes, a few diapers, and wipes. This is a very popular size among mothers because it is smaller and less cumbersome than a typical diaper bag.

Beach Bag

This bag I made as a wedding gift for my friend Taylor. I thought it would be nice to have her new monogram embroidered on the bag. She was married in Maui and wanted a bag that she could use as a carry on or to bring to the beach. She said that it was a huge hit in Hawaii!

Custom Diaper Bags

Here are some of my favorite diaper bags that I have recently made. This is the large diaper bag that I do. It has 4 pockets inside for bottles, keys, cell phone, etc. The dimensions of this bag are approximately 16x12x5.

New Blog

Hello! Thank you for visiting TOTEally Posh's Blog! Please visit my etsy site as well at

My name is Erin Jones and I am a wife to Daniel and mother to Elizabeth. Some of my hobbies include sewing, shopping, couponing, and anything crafty. I have been making custom diaper bags and totes for 10 years. Now that I am a stay at home mom, I am finding that I enjoy making children's clothing as well. I will be posting often, items that I make. Some of these will be custom orders that I have had, others will be gifts that I have made, or things I have made for my daughter.

If you see something that you are interested in, let me know and we will talk!
(The dress that Elizabeth is wearing was made by my good friend Jessica Stults. Check out her blog at )
