Thrifty finds

I have been such a bad blogger over the past few weeks!  Getting our house ready to put on the market is taking most of my time and energy.  I'm hoping to be able to find a little more time for blogging!  Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Now, on to the post!

You never know what good things you can find at thrift stores.

Take a look at what I found on a recent shopping trip.

Below is a vintage LOTTO set.  Not sure what the game was.  It looks to be similar to bingo.  Plus it only cost me $1.59.
Take a look what was inside!

I know I can find lots of fun crafts to do with these!

Next, I found another Apothecary Jar

$1.99 at Goodwill.  What a steal!
I'm still trying to decide what to put in it.  Any suggestions?

I also found this handmade mirror.
Price tag says $2.99, but that color tag was 1/2 off that day!
$1.50 for this one!
I'm planning to paint it, but have to decide where it will go first.

I LOVE pineapples!  In the South, it is a sign of Welcome & Hospitality.
This wooden pineapple was $2.99 at Goodwill.
It will be gorgeous with a whitewash finish!

Who says decorating your home has to be expensive?
But, if you're in Nashville and decide to hit the thrift stores, leave some goodies for me!

Check out these great parties I'm linking to:

  3. Well, around here that jar would be filled with seashells, but the possibilities are endless. What about a little bird nest with Robin blue eggs?

Love the pineapple, I have a smaller version.

  4. I love the vintage game and if Id found that and the jar Id be adding those numbers to the apothecary jar!
Also, with your mirror you should paint it and attach small hooks at the base where theres room. You can hang it in a guest room or your own room near your vanity/dresser to hang necklaces on!Just my thoughts. LOVE your finds:)
